DVD's jamming in the drive--ever have this problem?

This weekend a DVD from my local library jammed in the drive of this Memorex DVD player I bought from Target 4 months ago. I had to take a knife and force it the DVD drive to release it.

I bought a new Philips DVD player. I am thinking of just getting rid of the Memorex, it's out of warrantee, and another one I had before that also jammed.

Your experiences?

1. Panasonic

I've had a Panasonic DVD-RP62 for someting like five years (I think the model number is in the 90's now). The only jam I had was my own fault for closing the tray before the disque was seated properly. It makes a great image.

2. Some library discs have an extra label pasted on that causes this problem.

Some drives have no tolerance for anything out of spec.
