Any recommendations for an MP3 player?
I've never had or used one and don't really know what to look for. I want something with a good amount of storage, mainly to use when travelling or taking a walk or between classes.

I figured I could spend around $200, don't need a lot of bells and whistles and run a PC. Any suggestions would be appreciated (except "get a Mac" ).

:hi:

2. You can get an 8GB Zune for about 200 bucks.

If that's the amount I was willing to spend, I'd go with that one.

EDIT: Looks like you can get a 16GB Sansa MP3 player for the same price.

3. I love my sansa e280 mp3 player
It's small, holds 8 gigs of data, has an fm tuner and can play videos and I got it for like $129 from best buy.

6. I got my daughter a sansa last year, I think it was the 2gb
It is absolutely great and you can add more memory with a microSD card. The battery lasts very long and it's simple to use. It would be hard to find something better for the price.

7. I would go for the biggest MP3 player you can find for the least amount of money
For example I bought an 80GB Ipod for $249. But if you do not need that much space, there are plenty of options out there. Ipods are easy to use, but so are most of the others. Keep in mind that you will not be able to use Itunes to manage your music with any other player than an Ipod. But you can use Windows Media Player (which I never liked because it is so difficult to use), WinAmp and others.

Sansa has a good line of players, up to 8 or 16 GB I think.

8. I love my Dell DJ
I bought it used, 15 gigs, survived plenty of abuse from its previous owner and probably even more from me, and still runs great. Decent battery life, too.
