You have two sisters? I have two brothers! They are grey striped tabbies found in the woods by my best friend, litter of four. I got the biggest (Shocco) and the Runt (Shiloh). My friend kept one (Taj) and another friend got the only girl. They are 6 months old and HUGE!!! I almost wonder if they are half wild cat :D

27. There's an interesting story behind how these cats came about...
A stray cat that I named Snickers started hanging around, and I adopted her. She seemed friendly, and I was saving money up for a vet visit to get her spayed. However, she snuck out one night, and then came back. I didn't think anything about it, but until she gets her shots and spayed, I wasn't letting her out again. So, must have been a few weeks later, she was laying on my bed, and I laid my head on her belly, just lightly, and I felt, and heard, more than one heartbeat inside her belly.

So, a while later, she gives birth to 4 healthy kittens, she was herself a longerhaired cat(medium length, not like a Persian). So I kept the two shorthaired kittens, and the two longhaired ones, which were male, I gave to some friends. Soon after the kittens were all weaned, Snickers took off, she snuck out AGAIN, and didn't return. I looked for her for weeks, but she was half feral, the only consolation is that I was able to get her spayed before she left. My cats are almost 2 years old now.

I need to get Shocco and Shiloh snipped as well. I am really broke right now. Anyway, my friend is supposed to get me some kind of coupons that the vets will fix them for free since they are strays that we adopted. I am thinking this needs to be done very soon. They are big all over :wow:

I figure that she just decided to bless me with some kittens, they are cute, and sweet, despite what some of my posts may imply. :)

Sounds like your kitties are beginning to get to the age of teenagers, maybe you could contact the local Humane Society and see if they offer free "fixings" so to speak, or at a reduced rate. How big are they getting?

35. When do cats reach full growth? I swear they look like full grown
cats. They are NOT fat, just big. Their heads are huge and they are broad in the shoulders. Their feet are big. And they have this tawny undercoloring that is unusual to me. Their stripes turn into spots in places. They are long and lean and very loving. Shiloh has that kind of double purr and tends to "make wool" (that kneading gesture--know what I mean?). They are both laid out on the sofa right now. Together they take up the whole sofa!!

36. Looks like a cross between Marbled and Striped tabby...
Either that, or its a part of their development, cats sometimes change coloration or patterns as they mature. They sound like they are quite big, and most likely are either fully grown or close to it. I know what you mean with the "make wool" behavior, they are actually imitating the behavior kittens have before they are weaned, to stimulate their mother's mammary glands to feed. Generally they are supposed to outgrow that behavior, but if they aren't weaned properly, cats will continue the behavior into adulthood, usually as a sign of contentment and/or wanting attention.

Are these the first cats you have ever had?

bringing strays home as a child. I have not had any in several years. Well, there was this stray who I adopted for a while, a couple of years ago. I called her Gracie. I don't know what happened with her. She disappeard just like she appeared. It was a sign from the spirit world, I am sure of it now.

As a sign.

I've always been a cat person as well, and I brought a few strays home with me as a kid, to my parents' annoyance. :)

I just love animals in general, and cats in particular, sometimes I prefer their company to that of other humans.

34. Yep, mostly.

Start here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pig_Latin#Pig_Latin_in_programming

Pig Latin in programming

A common exercise in programming classes to teach the concept of recursion is to define a procedure or function that, when given a word in normal English, yields the Pig Latin equivalent. The simplest way to write such a procedure is to set a base case for words beginning with vowels (add "ay"), and a recursive case that moves the first letter to the end of the word for re-evaluation.

Internationalization and localization encoding

The common internationalization and localization encoding used for Pig Latin is x-pig-latin or x-lap. It is not defined in any language specifications and is considered experimental, hence the 'x'. The proper way to get it to work on Linux and other operating systems which support the standard gettext application is to set the po file to: en_US@piglatin.po.

54. Yes, Cracker Jack had them, but I was thinking Christmas Story
A secret decoder was an inexpensive toy popular among young children from the 1930s through the rest of the 20th century. It was occasionally included as a toy prize in boxes of breakfast cereal and snack foods, such as Cracker Jack. Usually, as radio premiums, a proof of purchase (boxtop, label, or jar seal) was sent to the sponsor by mail. Among the most famous decoders were the ones given to kids by the makers of Ovaltine. Ovaltine started cryptological premiums for the Little Orphan Annie radio program, and continued with the Captain Midnight radio and television programs.

There is an urban legend that the Little Orphan Annie radio show transmitted a secret message that deciphered to, "Be sure to drink your Ovaltine." Actually, no such message was ever sent, but the legend was immortalized in the movie A Christmas Story.
