10. Yes, lots of people do - tens of millions in Japan alone. Plus me.
Edited on Sun Dec-16-07 09:25 PM by Rabrrrrrr
But I don't drink the shit with corn syrup in it.

If I'm sick, I'll add honey to my green tea (and maybe lemon and whiskey), but otherwise I drink it straight, either hot out of the teapot or chilled as iced tea. I love cold green tea.

I like to make a pot of green tea and then chill it.

Americans living in Japan, that is.

And of course, I only drink loose leaf green tea. I buy mine at Ippodo in Kyoto, http://www.ippodo-tea.co.jp/en/ . Wonderful little store with a long history and the best green tea, of all varieties, I've ever had. Matcha, sencha, genmaicha - mmmm, I'm drooling just thinking about it.

I don't mind teabags for some teas, but wow - every bagged green tea I've had has been awful.

27. Mmm.... white tea. I get my white tea from Taiwan.
via tenren, http://www.tenren.com

Making tea from leaves is easy - put some leaves in the tea pot, pour over water of the proper temperature, and let it steep the right amount of time and voila - perfect tea, every time. I use a filter for my pot, so that after the tea is steeped properly, I can remove the leaves. Green tea will get bitter and nasty if you let the leaves stay in the pot.

13. I like the regular, not the diet
I pop it in the freezer for 45 minutes till it gets nice and slushy.

It's great by itself, but also with a splash of vodka.

28. Its from Taiwan, I believe...
The distinctive characteristic of it is that it has "boba" at the bottom of the cup, made of Tapioca. Usually you drink it with a wide straw big enough to be able to suck up these "boba" which can be quite large. The original bubble tea consisted of a hot Taiwanese black tea, tapioca pearls, condensed milk, and honey. Though now there are several variations as it gains in popularity.

16. I open about 8 or 10 bags and stick them in the coffee pot and then
fill the back with water and make tea instead of coffee.

Then I let it sit for a few hours, add some water and splenda and stick it in another drink container.

That way I have a bunch of iced tea for the next day, it's not expensive and I can put whatever tea I want to in it.

I think I need to make some tonight after reading this thread.

Perhaps you could put it in your bong instead of water?

38. What a great suggestion.
Actually, I love green tea. Not in the bottle, but brewed.
I guess I was overcome by lounge fever, which is hard to distinguish from GD snark.

Green tea might be good for that as well.

Hey, what do you know about my bong? :hi:

36. Is it sweetened? I cannot stand sweetened tea.
So, I tend to avoid the pre-bottled stuff. It's nearly always sweetened. I make my own. Tea, water, ice. That's all that should be in tea.

So, in answer to your question, no, I've never had that.
