Windy as all hell, cold as a motha, and lots of sleet/ice in the air.

There's no breakfast in the world worthy of going outside and getting it.

7. This ain't nothing
I'm in Boston now and I have to say I'm really disappointed in the attitude displayed by you Bostonians. I assure you it's waaaaay worse in Toronto and they don't act like it's the apocalypse every time there's snow. The weather channels says the wind chill is 22. Try not seeing temps above -20 for two months! And in Colorado, when it gets cold, it gets really cold because it's windy and it's always dry. Do we complain? NO! (well, maybe some of the transplants, but not the natives). Why? 'Cause we're oxygen deprived and we think it's normal, that's why.

You Boston peeps don't realize how good you have it. I'm going out later just because it's so damn nice out.

10. It's wicked wicked out there! My kids are supposed to be flying in tonight from L.A.
arriving late at night, and I'm really worried about the weather conditions - not just the
flying conditions, but also me having to drive to pick them up at 11 PM. Have you heard
any weather reports about later in the day?

21. Hey - DS1 says you live near Logan. My kids are supposed to be
flying in tonight from CA. Any chance of that really happening, given the wind
and the sleet in the air? I've been trying to call the airport but keep getting
a busy signal. Do you have any insider information?

 :hi:

24. The snow has switched to rain
and everything is just unholy slush. I just got back from studying in a coffee shop, and it's quite messy there. I don't know about flying, but I'd bet the ceiling is pretty low. I figure they can probably get in though. It's not freezing and there's no wind. Tonight if the temps go down that could be another story though. It was really windy this morning. Right now it's neither here nor there.

30. Ty
from what I have heard, they are saying that this winter may produce another blizzard such as the one from 78
Man I hope NOT because obviously I now drive and work and I damn sure dont want to drive in something like that. The blizzard we had here last year was bad enough and that wasnt even close to the 78 benchmark.

Just got back from running to the store (forgot trashbags and paper towels)and the side roads are a slushy, icy mess the main roads are not TOO bad.
