I'm stuck. Help, New Englanders past & present!
Okay, when I was a kid, there was a late night music show after SNL. I remember watching this show, lying on the floor of my friend's house in my sleeping bag long after everyone else had gone to sleep, after the old SNL, like the early 80s. It might have had the name 'Don' in the title.

Please, please, it's bugging the crap out of me. What the heck was this show?

2. YAAAYYYY!
Thank you, jonnyblitz, that's it exactly!

(Okay, my husband still doesn't know what I'm talking about, but I won't be agonizing over this for the rest of the night now!)

4. It's funny, I don't really remember the show much
but I do remember that it was on after SNL and that all of the other girls were generally asleep when it came on.

The stuff that sticks in our heads is funny, I guess.

Thanks again!

5. I can do a decent Don Kirshner impersonation.
Unfortunately, I'm usually the only one who gets it. (That happens to me a lot)
