Just got back from the company Xmas party.

Well - that was time well ... wasted.

Am I weird because a quiet night at home with the dogs/cats/other critters would have been more my speed?

Thankfully, our holiday parties are not anything like the stereotypical ones I keep hearing about. It wasn't horrible, just not ... my thing.

I work with some really great people, completely lacking in pretentiousness. Even the company owners are REGULAR PEOPLE - not at all haughty or showy.

I think I've just gotten OLD. And well before my time. ;)

I DID eat my ass off, though! They were nice enough to go out of their way to satisfy my pescatarian dietary preference. Everyone else had a choice of garlic chicken or prime rib - I got a cod in garlic sauce w/ capers and shrimp. As usual --- everyone preferred my option when they saw I had it. LOL
