Why do I always do this to myself?

I sit now in a coffee shop, perusing lounge threads, when I should be working.

Of course, I'm not working; I'm swallowing 20oz. of a frozen flavored latte and eating a cookie.

It's maddening. It's like walking into my favorite coffee shop becomes a moment of personal scandal. I'm waiting for the barista to jump on the table and rub his dollar-stuffed thong in my face. But I'm the type that sits alone in the corner, taking hits of sugar and caffeine in turns.

Coffee shops render me useless. After taking my time absorbing these noxious substances, I only count down to the time when the carb high wanes and I long for my bed. And then I leave, my tail tucked between my legs, defeated once more.

So, you may ask, why do I come here when I am only inviting debauchery and lascivious absorption?

Because they have delicious flavored lattes and cookies. Mmmmmmmmm. :evilgrin:
