My sister is going to be fine...
she's my twin. I didn't mention anything here until I knew what was going on, but she had endometrial cancer, and on Monday they perfomed a hysterectomy.

She just got the pathology results, and there was no cancer in the uterus or ovaries. It hadn't spread anywhere.

I'm so relieved.

8. That's excellent news.
After seven years of observing the triplets' (two boys, one girl) amazing closeness -- it's like they make decision by committee -- I know how it is between multiples.

39. Got confused when you said there was no cancer in the uterus.
So happy they got it all.

Make sure she stays off of her feet!

40. Yeah
I meant the uterine tissue itself.

The docs said it would likely stay contained to the endometrium, but there's no guarantee.

16. Oh I am very glad! How is she dealing with all of this? Is she kinda
torn between being happy to be cancer free but lost after losing her uterus? (I know the experience can very traumatic to some women.)

I hope she will recover well from this!

19. She's fine
she's had three previous operations for ovarian cysts. She's 46 years old, has three teenaged kids, and wasn't gonna have any more. She's sort of relieved to be rid of the problems.

And right now she's on cloud nine - she says she doesn't even feel any pain from the surgery. But that's just endorphins from the great news.

the endometrium, which is the lining of the uterus. The concern is that it would have spread into the uterus itself, but it didn't.
