3. I have a hearing problem, so I have to look the lyrics up because I can rarely make them out.
I miss records. All the lyrics were right there in front of me.

4. I was always a good listener of lyrics
these days, it seems harder to hear them.

That's probably a sign of me getting older.

5. I pay more attention now, definitely!
Old songs that I couldn't figure what they were saying... I suddenly can understand. It's a late-emerging cognitive skill.

For example, i was a kid when the Foreigner song Cold As Ice came out, and none of these lyrics registered:
you're digging for gold...you're throwing away...a fortune in feelings but someday you'll pay!

And I hear double entendres too! And sexual stuff that went over my head before. Yep.

6. I've always loved lyrics, so have always listened
However, with approximately 50% hearing loss, what I think I hear is often different from reality!

7. Always preferred the lyrics
but I pay more attention to them now than ever, and I know more about what they reference than I did when I was younger. So there are a lot of songs that are more meaningful to me now than they used to be.

ah but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now..."

11. I miss more lyrics now...
even though I try to listen to them more. I think my hearing is slipping.

12. No
About the same....

I've always been more interested in the non-verbal message in music than in the lyrics.
