Best/Worst CD's you have bought...?
Best:
Black Labes Society's The Blessed Hellride

Zack Wylde's band, real refreshing and new...with guitar solo's even...!

Worst:
Metallica's St Anger

I doubt I can re-sell it on Half.com for a fraction of what I paid for it...It's terrible in my opinion...sorry fans of Metallica...I think it just plain sucks.

2. Mike Kennealy and Beer For Dolphins "Dancing"
But that was some years ago i bought it...
coming up hot on it's heels is King Crimsons new "The Power To Believe"

The worst?

The Spanks "Right There On The Booty" God-awful music but it's a great
band name and title so i keep it.

4. ....
My recent best is Every Time I Die - "Hot Damn!"

Poison the Well - "You Come Before You" was lackluster.

6. Uncle Cracker...
The one that had his hit "Follow Me" on it.

That was the only good cut on the entire CD. The rest of his attempted rap was dreadful even for a type of music that I'm not sure is music. His wasn't for sure.

8. ain't that the truth!
I could hardly believe it! My favorite CD's in my collection are Queen II and Kansas Leftoverture and Meatloaf Bat of of Hell I and II. I like some of the new music coming out, but when you hear lyrics like *uck and B*tch and then recall the beautiful lyrics sung by Freddie Mercury it is hard to find a favorite in contemporary music, at least for me, but I'm old.

7. Worst? Blackstreet double album CD......
Bought it purely on the strength of No Diggety, fantastic hip-hop track featuring Dr Dre....

Every other track on 2 whole CDs turned out to be weak, lame, patronising, bullshit, focused entirely on Blackstreet getting women to sleep with them through the power of close harmony crooning...

"THIS AIN'T NO POP 'CAUSE THAT SUCKS - AND YOU CAN NEW JACK SWING ON MY NUTS....."

I thank you...

P.

14. Best lately...
Sleater-Kinney, "One Beat"...I love it, but I can't say it's the best cd I own (I have no idea what that would be and don't intend to think about it too much, I have hundreds!)

Worst: Blaster the Rocket Boy, "Succulent Space Food for Teething Vampires"...Christian horror/sci-fi hardcore. I bought it because I was looking for horror-themed music for a Halloween mix but it's horrible. As in terrible. Ugh. Luckily I bought it used for only 6 bucks.

15. Best/worst
Best: U2's latest was pretty good. Kelly Clarkson's debut album was better than expected. I picked up some Willie Nelson that I enjoy. I was never a big fan, but considering his liberal leanings, I decided to give him a chance.

I haven't bought a lot of real crap. I don't buy that much, so my experience with disappointments are more rare than most people's. I can't think of any major disappointments off hand.

17. Best: "Some Boots" by Karate, Worst:That Strokes album
The Strokes suck big time. It's a sad day for music when the best you can say about a band is "well, at least they play all their own instruments..."

18. Best: Evanescence Worst: Van Halen 3
You'll think I'm a cheeseball, but I REALLY dig that chick's voice. Great album from front to back....

Van Halen 3 was the musical equivalent of having your penis chopped off and being beaten about the face and head with it...Just sad...

19. Worst: -- Metallica's St Anger

Ignoring the band's actions over the last few years, I really was hoping they'd still be able to put out some enjoyable rock.

Nope. They totally lost it. Worst Rock CD in years!

20. Best:

Howard Tate, "Residcovered"

Thankfully, there've been no recent "worsts" on which I've wasted my cash.
