7. They let me keep 3%
Because I had been under too long and was starting to bleed heavily. But, it's scarred off and can't grow back...yay.

3. Were you expected to make a complete recovery?
Or were you told you had only a few months or years to live? If it's the latter, I'll see your "yay" and raise you a "nyah nyah nyah!"

5. As complete as I could...
I lost all the hearing in my left ear, plus the balance nerve and the inner ear mechanism. But, that beats being dead which is what I would've been if the tumor hadn't been found.

11. That's how Steve Colbert lost the hearing in HIS ear!
At age 14, he had to have a tumor removed, too. Unfortunately, his eardrum had to be removed with it. That's why his ears look funny--which I NEVER noticed until he mentioned it, LOL!

16. What a great anniversary!! I second your YAY!!
My mom had a glioblastoma and died two and a half years ago. Three years ago in December, she was recovering from the surgery to remove the first tumor. I think about that a lot at this time of year.

I'm glad you came through it. And hope for the day when everyone does!

Have a great day!!

I would like to think that I live every day to the fullest but, the truth is, sometimes I still sweat the small stuff and can be as petty and whiny as the next person.....

But, all in all, I was SO lucky and I'm lucky to be alive! :bounce:

Even more so because the tumor was discovered almost by accident...I had virtually no symptoms. If I'd waited until I did; I would be dead. But that's another story for another day...
