15. No, Othello is choking his wife.
Knucklehead general can't control his jealousy. But keep an eye on that Iago character. I think he's got an agenda.

I see the difference now. Othello is in the squares, that other game has the stones on the corners where the lines intersect....

22. No one has heard of Go?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go_%28board_game%29

My computer can kick my ass at backgammon and chess and even grandmasters lose to the computers these days. But Go is so complex that even the best programs struggle to barely reach an amateur level.

It is interesting that it's even easier to learn than chess. It's so simple that if there is intelligent life in the universe, I would not be the least surprised that they had developed some form of Go.

One cool feature is that it's easy to handicap a game which allows players of different abilities to still enjoy a competitive game. Pretty hard to do that with chess.

It's just a fantastic game.

26. kinda sorta
The stones can't change colors by flipping. And instead of outflanking your opponent, in Go you attempt to encircle him, or more precisely, encircle and control territory. The goal is to finish with more territory than your opponent. The game is finished when both players agree that it is finished. Honest! :)

It's so easy, you can learn the basics in about fifteen minutes. Here is an interactive tutorial:

18. Me too ...
I had surgery a few years back, was stuck in bed ... then restarted playing chess with CM09 ... then CM10 ... I've been through most of the exercises and tutorials multiple times.

And I really like playing against the various computer players (because you can save games).

Haven't played in any type of tourney in a long while. Just play against programs on the net these days.

29. I enjoy the whole ambiance of the game.
I like holding the piece. I like watching my opponent. I like the peaceful camaraderie of a worthy adversary. The whole 3-D experience of it all. Kind of old-fashioned, I am.

27. I am so rusty I would embarass myself
About fifteen years ago I was playing fairly actively. We had several players at work who played and we would play speed chess on our lunch hours. We'd each start with 15 minutes and we could get in two games in an hour.

Then this internet thing came along....
