I do this thing where my heart races and feels like it's leaping in my chest. Some may remember that I went to the ER about it one day. My doc says it's nothing to worry about. Maybe stress-related. But that there's nothing really wrong with my heart--my EKGs have always been good. And the med they usually use for this would lower my already low blood pressure. So, I just need to live with it.

Well, it's happening tonight, big time. don't know why. I'm not particularly stressed. Two committee meetings tonight were canceled because of the ice that didn't happen. I don't have a sermon to write this week, because the Christmas program is Sunday. So, there's no reason for me to be stressed.

But my heart is just jumping around in there. So, I'm going to bed.

3. I had a similar experience (maybe)

Thought I was having a heart attack four years ago. Long story short - I was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, which doesn't show up on tests unless you have an "event" while being tested - no after effects. I take heart aspirin daily to reduce risk of clots/stroke, but otherwise continue with my normal activities. Might be worth checking out online and discussing with your doctor. (Larry Bird and Mario Lemieux have it too!) Good luck and feel better!

5. Too much coffee, tea or diet soda today? I used to have PVCs (premature ventricular contractions),

but that's when I lived in Europe and drank a lot of very strong coffee.
