Take that, Britain, with your cold toast and boiled meat and boots and bonnets and silly walk contests.

1. Bugger off, yobo.
Some of my best friends are Brits.
But I still wouldn't want my daughter to marry one.
She's already married.
To a proper yank.
:-)

3. They didn't have proper trousers and Cushing wore fuzzy slippers
http://theswca.com/index.php?action=disp_item&item_id=77987

Peter Cushing found the boots that came with his costume extremely uncomfortable to wear because they were too small for his feet. Thus he only wore them in the few shots in which Tarkin's feet could be seen. In all other shots, Peter Cushing wore a pair of fuzzy slippers.

4. they filmed much of Star Wars in England
and you know what, those Tie Fighters sound a lot like a BART train and George Lucas has lived in the Bay Area for years.

Coincidence? I think not.

6. random reminiscence about BART:
When I was a kid in the Eastbay in the early 70s, my Dad told me that we would now be able to ride a BART train under the water to get to San Francisco. For some reason, I thought the tunnel would be a glass tube that would allow me to look at fish as we rode. Boy, was I disappointed to find it was just a regular tunnel.

10. It is strange to be below all that water! And then, your mind starts thinking:
"Don't think about an Earthquake. Don't think about an Earthquake. Don't think about an Earthquake..." :)

8. You know what's amusing about Star Wars
When Darth Vader says to Lea,
"You are part of the Rebel Alliance and a traitor, take her away!"

When I recently saw Star Wars I thought, you know, he's right. He had her pegged right there.

The older I get the more I understand the bad guys.
