4. Hmm... lessee...

First there's the sprite version of me that I drew.



Then I've got some stuff from various games that I've made.

Break Invaders - I mashed together Breakout/Arkanoid with Space Invaders


Alabama Bones and the Temple of Gloom - Never finished this game because the harddrive containing all the files went kaput. :( I'm thinking about redoing it in flash so that it will be vector based rather than sprite based, and it'll be cross-platform instead of just for Windows. This is a completely original character I created, and any resemblance to any other movie or video game characters is PURELY coincidental. :)


Break Invaders 2 - Since I only made 10 or so levels in the original before that harddrive crash, I figured I'd try to remake it with more levels, better artwork, tweak the gameplay a bit, ect. I think it turned out pretty good.

7. Well, the Break Invaders ones were just me seeing if I could actually finish an entire game.

I'm not a fan of old-school per se, but I think most of the stuff that's come out lately has been hugely sucky. And it's easier to start working in 2d instead of jumping right into 3d. So I figured I'd dabble in the old-school and work my way up, but keeping the stuff that make old-school fun instead of just going for bigger and flashier stuff. :)

And just looking at those screenshots you can see a big difference in the artwork quality between the two games, not to mention that my design skills got better too. :)

On edit: the photo of the dragon roll in my sig line is mine, too. I did the Web Site for a local Japanese restaurant and this is one of the photos I took. YES, the owner let me eat it after the photo was taken. I shot photos of about $65 worth of specialty rolls and they all became lunch, all on the house, above and beyond the fee I charged for the site.
