If you have posted more than 100 times today
and you're somehow still keeping up with everything at work... Is that a sign that you've been drinking WAY too much caffeine? :bounce:

3. I've never posted 100 times in a day EVER.
I figure that people don't give a shit what I'm having for dinner or if my leg itches or what my shoe size is.

Have I underestimated the interest in the minutiae of my day-to-day life?

8. Perhaps.

When you know people here it's easy to get drawn into conversations. I've met a lot of DUers, have plans to meet others, and just plain like to talk to a lot of the people here. :)

And there is certainly no shortage of threads on all the various forums to contribute to. I've mostly saturated the lounge today, but that's not always true. There are people here who can post that often in a day without leaving GD.

But not in hummus.

I make my own Horseradish sauce with vegan mayo and a touch of salt. I put it on almost anything! :9

20. I'm no hummus fan myself.
In fact, I think it tastes mostly like pureed lawn clippings. The horseradish-flavored stuff is pretty good though. Tribe brand (Same great taste! All new package!)

doesn't have the presevatives in it that cause my Migraines! Woo Hoo! I can actually eat that brand! :)

I get easily excited about food. It's amazing that I'm still relatively thin.

6. Do you pronounce the 'H' in Thomcat? Or is it silent.
I need to know for a project I'm working on.
Is it 'Tom', like in Thom McAn shoes?
Or is it THom?
Thank you.

11. That depends.
I answer to Th-om if people call me that. But usually it's T(h)-om.

Some friends of mine used to call me Th-om just because they could. One of them has a heavy chinese accent and pronounced it Th-um. So I answer that too. :)

38. That is incredibly Cool!
Congratulations on being retired! :)

I don't get the impression from your posts that you're old enought be retired. I don't know what that really means, but somehow I just assumed you were closer to my age (late 30s or 40s).

The flaw of assuming everyone else is just like yourself, I guess.

40. I work on keeping my vocabulary 'current'.
Thanks.
I was an airline pilot.
The late, lamented TWA.
Trans World Airlines.
Hung it up in '99.
A few years before mandatory (at 60), but I was ready.
I'm 66.

And just today I learned that you're gay.
Well, gee whiz.
What else is new?
I believe in 'different strokes' and everybody's welcome to the party.
Why not?

17. My work today is record updates and documentation.
:(

It's very detailed and precise, and even small errors can cause reporting problems so I'm the only one who does this work. But it's not very challenging when you know all the problems and quirks.

I have to build up this incredible momentum, and then the intensity of the work dies down but I don't want to stop moving, so I come to DU to keep doing lots of stuff quickly. And then the momentum builds up at work again. And then it slows down and I come back here.
