OMG.
I was OK until they stood up and the camera dollied out.
I actually remember when we did wear knee socks with Bermudas.
Girls did it long after boys quit.

In the 50s a friend was in an accident and injured both knees.
The doctor said he'd probably be more comfortable in Bermudas until the bandages came off and the stitches had been removed.

He showed up at high school in the shorts next day and...
The whole damned school came to a screeching halt.
CROWDS of students standing around him, just looking at him and teasing him.
The principal had to send him home.
