I hope 2008 will be a better year for all.
Because, quite frankly, this year has sucked a big one.

2. SECONDED
My hospital bills for 2007 have been more than what I've made in salary. All I can say is thank God I have insurance.

I can certainly say that 2007 was one hell of a grand downer for me.

7. Good riddance to 2007...man, has this year sucked out loud
Edited on Sun Dec-09-07 08:10 PM by TK421
I could go on and say what has happened to me this year, but I won't go into detail except for:

I was arrested for, basically...being a good samaritan.

Busted up my ankle REAL good slipping on the ice ( as well as torn ligaments in the mix ).

Have endured COUNTLESS transformations in my department at my job ( which, is part of the whole re-structuring process, I'm told...bullshit ).

Someone please shoot this year right between the eyes with a 12 gauge....

8. Yes! It would be wonderful if we could flood the lounge with good news
and congratulations throughout the year. :)

Here's hoping that it's a much better year next year for all of us!

14. I'm having a very good weekend.
:)

A lot of good stuff has happened. A really good person is cleaning my apartment for me. I have a new roommate. I spend yesterday evening at a very fun party with some old friends I've known for 20 years but don't get to see very often. And I'm on a rounds of steroids that are helping with my pain wonderfully! I was even able to cook today.

It doesn't get much better than this.

I hope you are doing just as well! :hi:

12. For me as well, indeed. Some highlights (made good $$, had 3 trips north this
summer), but the lowlights were REALLY low.

Here's to a better one for you, terrya, and all the other DUers.

17. it'll be what it is
that is, what anyone makes of it.

GIGO is the case with most things in life.

i am guilty of it, i've run around the country seeking to find answers, greener pastures, etc. etc.

there isn't anything about a year, a month, a week, a place, a job, or whatever that is fundamentally the problem.

it's the way we as people cope, deal with, and create reality for ourselves.

when i learned that the only constant that i was avoiding (viz., ME) was the cause of the turmoil in my life, i figured all the running in the world won't solve anything - i am the one who is always there.

nothing is perfect, people let you down, and everyone regrets something. it's the way we deal with it, the creative approaches to problems we concoct, and the friendships and positive social interaction in our lives that matters the most.

the only thing any of can control is what lies between our two ears. everything else is just what it is. it goes on whether we are there or not.

19. Agreed - massive suckitude in 2007
It was pretty bad up until half past May - and then it took a serious vertical dive into the f*cking abyss.

Frankly, I'm surprised I'm still married and alive. :scared:

20. You have my vote.
Had to move my mom to two different retirement centers, son broke his neck, my job sucks. Kind of the shitty life trifecta. Hard to be worse than this, but you never know.

21. Another vote
I was glad when 2006 ended; I thought no year could possibly be worse than that one. However, 2007 was. I'm not looking forward to 2008.

22. I'm so sorry my friend....Michael and I have had a really great year
and when things are going well for you its easy to assume that life is good for everyone. Sorry that it just isn't so. Take some comfort that many people care about you and wish you the absolute best....When life is good there is nothing better
