Way, way, way back when it first came out, I said that HAD to be Harry Chapin singing it, and a buddy said it was some guy named Billy Joel. I told him he was crazy, and I would bet $25 that it was Chapin.

That was back in the 70s, when $25 was real money. So that's what I'm thinking of right now, losing 25 bucks that I could use for Christmas spending.
