A client told me I had become a friend to his entire family.
For some reason I can't fathom, the gentleman and I took hold very rapidly, and for the past two years I've been to his home on numerous occasions- some business and some of the simple pleasure of being in the company of good folk.

Yesterday evening he told me he considered me a personal friend. I didn't know what to say, I was so awestruck. How often does this happen to people? Not nearly often enough is my wager.

It's a good feeling. No- it's a GREAT feeling.

I think I done good.

1. My dear Prisoner_Number_Six!
That is most awesome!

And I can't think of anyone who deserves it more...

I've had it happen too, with merchants I've frequented...

The lady I buy my chocolate from every week at the Farmer's Mkt. is one of those...

We've become close personal friends, and we both look forward to talking every week...

You did good, sweetie!

2. There is no feeling like it
I have 2 girls that went through the school I work at many years ago.
One is 21, the other 18. I consider them both to be like sisters to me.
I'm very close to both and their families.
We are family now.

They (and their mothers actually) have both told me that I changed their lives.

It does feel good. I try to focus on the kids that come back to say how good an influence
I was than the kids who didn't love my teaching style.
