A former apartment neighbor was a religion major and he told that there were many stories about Jesus back in the day actual like serial cliffhanger stories. Jesus stories were not that rare in fact he was a bit of a mythical figure (not joke intended) one of these stories was about Jesus workign on a roof and shooting a lightning bolt into a guy who was wisecrackign with him.

Of course my neighbor cold have been wrong, completely full of crap, or perhaps really Jesus himself :shrug: who knows?

was the one where Jesus and Peter were wandering around, looking for a place to sleep for the night, They stop at a rich man's house, He fixes a hole in the wall. Next night they stop at a poor farmer's house and during the night the cow dies instead of the farmer's wife. Of course, Jesus had all these great explanations as to why what he did was for the greater good so Peter should just shut up about wondering why He did the things He did. But the story was originally told with Gautama Buddha as the protagonist...
