Mindless Holiday moment #1 ---ME, yesterday

Okay so my wife is incredibly busy at work. I am dropping off and picking up Josie at daycare.

I get her and we head back into the city to go to Plan 9 records -to get a CD for my wife. After this we are going to the grocery store THEN home to eat and get in some Curious George watching time.

We get a parking spot right across the street from Plan9 (incredible). One way street with parking on both sides. I have to get out and then get Josie out with cars cruising by. Traffic really wasn't that bad but I am overly nervous about this situation. I get her out, across the street, get the disc, pay for it, Josie is extra cute with the cashier girl, and we walk out.

I knew that I hadn't locked the door on the car because the remote thing broke and I hated carrying it on my keychain anyway so getting Josie out and locking the door....eh we won't be in the store THAT long.

I reach for my keys-front left pocket-.....nothing there. Small moment of panic. I am carrying Josie around throughout all of this....I look across the street-the car lights are still on....we cross the street... THE CAR IS STILL RUNNING!


My dumbass left the keys in the car and left the damned thing running
