Dexter fans--what do you think of this season?

I'm finding it totally different from last season, more uneven, but engaging on it's own merits.

Last season seemed very cool, and evenly paced, and this one is all over the place.

The Lila character is not doing it for me at all. She's too soap opera. But that could change by the end since I thought they tied up the Doakes thread early on, but it turned out to be a red herring.

at least in my opinion.
I haven't seen the last one yet but have it on tivo.

2. I have to wonder

If the reason that this season seems uneven is that Season 1 was based on the books more or less, but this season is completely on its own. The writers are on their own.

4. Lundy & romance with Deborah is from second book--but that's about it.

3. I like this season-

we got into it last year, and REALLY enjoyed it. Lila is like a spider weaving her web all around Dexter. I can't wait to see what happens next week, when Lila goes to the little cabin in the wilderness..... :scared:
