where do animals go to die?
we have hundreds of squirrels, thousands of birds, chipmunks, skunks, DS1's and other vermin in our yard all year.

so, where do they all go to die?

ever seen a squirrel keel over from a heart condition?

ever seen a bird die of old age and fall out of the sky?

I saw a DS1 pass out once but it eventually awoke (the closest I have come to witnessing this particular mystery)

seriously though. where is the critter graveyard and how do they get there?

1. Seriously?
Wild animals are always aware of any vulnerability - when they're sick or dying, they tend to find a hiding place or safe place of some sort where they won't be a target for a predator. So you don't see them.

2. I had a wren who built a nest on my porch.
He died there this past summer. We buried him, nest and all.

3. Why are you posting here?
Aren't you supposed to be in your car driving to Virginia, staking out Cracker Barrells and snatching midlo up to work as your servent? The good news for you is that she's from Virginia so she probably doesn't like wearing shows to begin with.
:D

11. I don't think most vermin live to old age.
You'll find them flattened by the side of the road, or in spherical form, on the ground near your nearest owl roost.
