Poll question: Should I go downtown to play a small poker tournament today?
It's a crappy little hold'em tournament, and I'd have to put on pants.

4. If it's something you like to do....
and if you have the opportunity to do it, then you should. And you'll have to put on pants sooner or later, mister.

9. Two questions:
Edited on Mon Dec-03-07 04:17 PM by DarkTirade
First, define 'small'. Does it cost any money, how many people are usually there, ect.
Second, what kind of poker?

*edit* Nevermind, you already said what kind. :P

*edit* New second question: If you put the pants on your head instead of your legs, do you think it will help keep people from reading your tells?

10. It's a $40 buy-in
usually 27 people.

and if I put my pants on my head, I wouldn't be able to see my cards!

11. That's what the zipper is for. Duh.
I wouldn't, but I'm a cheap bastard. I don't usually do anything more expensive than a 5 dollar tournament. :)

Of course, I ain't a bad player, so maybe if I started playing the more expensive tournaments I'd end up being able to afford the more expensive tournaments... hmmm. Kinda a catch-22.

14. Why do you say that?
Poker is a game of skill. Good players win, bad players lose. I'm pretty good.

It's not like playing roulette or slot machines, where you are guaranteed to lose over time.

Poker and sports betting are the only forms of gambling that have professional players. Good players win.

17. Some forms of poker take more skill than others...
but Texas Hold'em depends more on skill than most others. :)

Know when to walk away
And know when to run
