Or rather, a 3 lb rotting octopus in a sealed plastic bag...
(in 1990... nowadays, this would get me arrested for some terrorist charge or something)

It circulated the country a couple of times over a 2 week period in the hot, hot summer, thanks to friends in California and DC, then made it's way to the mailbox of my wasband's sister's guardian on Long Island (a money-hungry beast just out to screw their trust fund for all she could).

His sis called the day after she had opened it... still laughing her ass off at "the beast's" reaction to the mess and the smell.

Apparently, even Stanley Steamer couldn't rid their carpet of the "Revenge of Cthulhu"!
