I tried everthing in my power to talk him out of it.
My son left for United States Air force Nov 26 and of course it was raining like hell and I cried. Andrew is 19 and of course knows everything and I couldn't talk him out of it. Well anyway he called today with his address instructor(TI) yelling in the back round to hurry up. Well I hope now he realizes that I didn't yell as much as he is going to get yelled at now. I am sad and going to miss his smart ass comments around the house and asking for money for gas.

Less likely to get shot at.

7. I have a friend who's son wanted to join the marines
she was mortified

he worked and worked at it but couldn't pass the running requirement

then he decided to go for the army.

she's still worried about him, and rightfully so.

Hang in there

Bush will be out soon, it is just that we've got to get someone in that isn't a warmongerer

8. My Son
enlisted in the Marine Corps 4-1/2 years ago. I was surprised and against it, but it was his decision. Everything went fine. He's out now and working on an Engineering Degree.

I hope all goes well for you (and obviously him).

10. my son wanted to join the military
but he can't pass the physical exam. He has a degenerative disease of the cornea.

An Army recruiter told him this weekend to lie so he could get in. My son said he wasn't keen on a dishonorable discharge and/or jail time.

I'll be praying for your son's safety.

I'm sure you'll miss him. I don't even want to think how it would make me feel.
