4. American people are turning into a form of social animal in the biological sense

where we have specific divisions within the population that people are born into, and can never change. An example of this is celebrity as presented by the media. Celebrities marry and reproduce with celebrities, giving birth to more celebrities. Given enough time celebrities will become a eperate subspecies due to socially-enforced breeding isolation. the rest of the population is being trained by the media to serve the celebrity class by having the subconscious suggestion thay celebrity status is an end goal in itself, that it is desireable above all other societal classes, and that celebrities are in some way superior to the other classes - more talented, more intelligent, more attractive, etc. The end result of this process, when left to proceed on its own, will be a small ruling class of celebrity-created offspring living at the expense of the rest of society. Cannibalism may also be involved.

I am one too and it is maddening-
When I am sitting in a pub the last thing I want to see is an American. They rush in like a herd of buffaloes, complain the pint is not full enough or not there fast enough. They are short with the staff and seem to generally annoy everyone in the place with how loud there are then say nothing, tip nothing and then shuffle out. I don't know how many times I would hear bar staff say after a group would leave... "feckin yanks" then they would look at me and say "but you are all right fair play to ya"

A friend just got back from Northern Ireland and an ugly american along on the trip offended half the six counties and was told more than once to "go home to America ye feckin gobshite!"

22. I had limited contact with Americans until I joined the DU. I always found

them open and friendly before. Now I have an even deeper respect for the people I have met on the DU. How you love your country and want to take it back really gets to me. I stand back mostly and let you figure these hard times out for yourselves since I know any pain I feel re the * White House is quadrupled for you all.

Nothing compares to people working together to fight the good fight.
