1. I love when HR does that.
I remember when HR at one of my old employers cheerfully announced our new "vision care" benefit. It was a 40% discount for glasses at one of the mall eye centers, same as the coupons in their ads. I suppose it was a benefit because we didn't need to cut out the coupon.:eyes:

3. We got to watch a propaganda video message today
From the vice president of the company. We're taking a strike vote on Sunday and he smiled kindly and explained to us that we don't know what we're voting for and the big, bad union is trying to make us suffer without money through the holidays. :puke:

As if the big, bad company isn't trying to make us suffer without adequate pay and benefits over the next four years. :eyes:

7. Did he remind you to notice that diamond pinkie ring YOUR dues paid for?
That's one the scaremongers used to trot out at the end of every contract..

10. That's a nice touch
:eyes:

I was too busy noticing the expensive suit my labor paid for. Sleazy fearmongers. I spit upon them. His father was a hamster and his mother smelt of elderberries. x(

5. Don't get me started on HR.
They're the one group of people that regularly make me question my right to call myself a progressive. They're also verging on being the sole exception to my opposition to the death penalty.

As my first boss used to say whenever the subject came up, "HR. Waste of space. Waste of space." It was like a mantra with him; I don't think he consciously realized he was saying it.

When they stopped being "personnel" started getting delusions of grandeur, HR became the enemy.

11. They've also cut a special deal to send a first class letter for just 41 cents!
That's nearly a 20 savings over sending a letter via FedEx overnight!

No wonder people keep their jobs for the benefits.
