I broke down and ordered a sustain pedal for the keyboard
I was gonna wait and buy it with the money my dad will give me for Christmas (my mom always bought the gifts, so now my dad doesn't know how to go about it. He gives money.) I had sworn I wasn't going to buy anything else for myself for a while, to save money and get my consumerism under control. Well, one of my piano lesson songs this week calls for use of the pedal. I could just pretend to have a pedal when using the keyboard at home and practice some on the pianos at the church. But no, I ordered a pedal just now.

I am an incessant consumer. I can't seem to control myself!!

2. There's a difference between buying useless crap, and buying something that you actually use. :)

15. It's from what is quite possibly the best video game of all time.
And it's a game that involves no action, no fast twitch reflexes, nothing like that. It's just fun, clever, entertaining, ect. All those things that have been left out of many modern games in favor of big explosions and bigger guns.

12. True
The things you actually use will cost more and break more often

14. Exactly.
Seriously though, you know where I can get a sustain pedal for cheap? And a keyboard stand. :)

3. The pedal is a crutch
according to my old jazz piano teacher :)

Nothin' wrong with a musician equipping themselves properly.

not an indulgence. Don't sweat it.

5. Did they waterboard you to make you do it?
I just wondered what they did to break you down.

6. They threatened to waterboard me.
That's all it took.

I'm terribly weak.

7. It's Ok. My torture phobia is electrical shock.
If the Chicoms, or the Russkies, or Al Queda, or Hamas, or Mosad, or the CIA, or the FBI, or the DOJ, or the Homie Security, or the Girl Scouts EVER want me to spill my guts, all they have to do is hook me up to the grid.

I HATE electrical shock.
And it doesn't even have to be on the 'naughty' bits.
Just threaten to zap my little finger and I'll tell you everything I know and whatever else you want me to say.
I'll make shit up.
:scared:

17. Me, too. Now that static season is here,
I go around cringingly touching anything that might give me a shock. Last year, I actually returned a pair of shoes, because in a few moments of wear time, I got shocked three times. Who can live like that?!!

18. I've only had the keyboard a couple of weeks.
Just got the stand and bench Monday. Now it works much better than when it was sitting on my dining room table.
