I don't much believe in a god, so being praised by god is very, very low on my priority list. It's much, much more important to me to do the right things just because they're the right things, and by the right thing, I mean making choices that ultimately will alleviate or end suffering in some respect. I guess I think that just being mindful of others' suffering and acting accordingly would be the most important thing I attempt every day. But praise for living this way doesn't really cross my mind; the carrot/stick thing has never been an incentive for me. :shrug:
