We just got back from it. Mr. DTBK loves Stephen King movies. Thought it was really good. The 8-legged monsters scared the crap out of me - I hate spiders anyway. I guess the message of the movie is, "never give up hope."

2. Did you ever read the original story

when it was in the Skeleton Crew short stories book?

It was also re-released as a short book.

I love SK stories, but will probably see the movie someday on down the road on TV...can't really afford movies out right now.

Interesting. I've been wondering what they were going to do to the ending to that movie. The book has a very ambiguous ending, but I heard that they did something different for the movie. Now I'll have to go and see it to find out what it is.

5. I just got back from seeing it tonight.....

.....The movie, overall, isn't bad. But the ending is downright awful! A brutal and cynical ending that was completely unnecessary.
