If Coltrane had lived until 1991, just like Miles, would he have...
...collaborated with electric guitarists / bassists? If so, which ones? Hendrix? Jaco Pastorius? Carlos Santana?

Would he have kept venturing out to the edges of free-form, or would he have moved back to structured songs as a launching pad for improvisation? Or would he have done something similar to Miles' "Pangaea / Agharta / Dark Magus" improvs?

Would he have come up with something that you and I couldn't even begin to imagine here?

Would he have reunited with Miles? Would Miles' ego have allowed that? Would Coltrane even have an interest in it?

Would he have kicked Miles' ass (musically speaking), would he have been Miles' equal, or would he be in Miles' shadow?

If John Coltrane had another 24 years...like Miles had, after Trane's death...

...what would he have done with them?
