Where can I get crystallized ginger?
I have a recipe for a sweet potato casserole and it calls for crystallized ginger.

Will my regular grocery store have this? In what section should I look?

and if I can't find it, should I just use dried ginger?

thanks! :hi:

Trader Joe's and/or the health food store WILL have it
The regular grocery sometimes has it in with the produce, but sometimes it's with the nuts.

Ask a clerk. :)

6. I hope TJs has it- I don't have time to go to an asian grocer
Edited on Tue Nov-20-07 05:42 PM by Beaverhausen
a poster above said it is sometimes called Candied ginger and I'm pretty sure I'm seen that there.

edit- that "hit an asian grocer" doesn't sound good, does it?

10. A bulk food store
Like Bulk Barn or whatever.

I love crysallized ginger... I know this is weird, but I think it makes a really great snack food.
