I have one credit card. 0 balance. Why is the SAME company pre-approving me for a SECOND one?

Only this time, 12 months at 0% APR?

1. If you don't have one
by a shredder and put it to use with anything you get from any credit card company. Maintain one that you are happy with and keep a weary eye on any activity on it (by you or others.)

5. We have one in the garage
and we put everything in it that has our name or an account number or any identifiable data on it. I empty it at least twice a week. I am proudly anal when it comes to identity theft and not ODing on plastic.

3. Because you've never made a late payment on your balance of
$0.00. That's all the computer knows.

4. I cancelled one I hadn't used for two years- I went through hell to do it!
The guy kept asking me "what it would take to keep me as a customer"? I finally had to tell him I had just inherited a million bucks (not true) so I would no longer need credit.
