I actually had a birthstone ring made. I'd always wanted one and I figured it was about damn time.

The indention, like the pain, will fade in time. This too shall pass.

16. I wore other rings, too.

It's been two years since I took it off after more than 20 years wearing it, and there is still a slight indentation and discoloration on my ring finger. I just wear other rings - ones with happy memories. I wear one ring on each hand.

I took mine off after years of marriage about 3-5 years ago, and I still not only see the indentation, but I still habitually spin it with my thumb and tap on metal things as I pass em.
