How do I get words to stop pre-filling in my Google search field?
You know, where you type a letter and it automatically fills in with everything you typed in previously that begins with that letter. It's getting annoying... :argh:

Sorry.

It depends on your browser, but in IE7 there is a menu called Tools. Pull down to Internet Options, and on the Content tab you can change the settings for Autocomplete. Uncheck the box next to 'Forms.' This should be similar in other browsers...

4. Tired of seeing "TurtlePorn" when you're looking for "TortoisePorn"?
If you're using Firefox, you can delete the auto-fill in the "options" menu. I imagine it's the same type of thing with other browsers.

Menu > Tools > Clear Private Data > Saved Form and Search History
