He's a genetic freak of nature; his body produces that scent naturally.

How else can you explain his ability to wander around in public

and still SCORE with gold-digging silicone-enhanced bleach-tramps?

The SPICE has powers beyond your puny mortal understanding:

I would agree with many here in saying that the classic cologne smell reminds me of older men because my grandfather wore it while growing up.

However, guys, seriously check out their fairly new line of body washes and deodorants. They are absolutely awesome and whenever a lady-friend gets a whiff of my skin they always compliment me.

I promise I'm not a paid corporate shill :)

51. I have to go with reminds me of Dad too. So I like it.
He was a WWII Vet. He was a life-long, retired steel-worker, who'd lost part of his hand to machinery.

He'd been a hell-raiser. His never set crooked nose attested to that. He was secretly a softy. I knew that by the time I was three. Even though others quavered at his voice.

He was a Pittsurgh Pirates and Steelers Fan, and died at 84 the same day 3 Rivers Stadium was imploded. Feb 11, 2001.

He already despised Bush before that early date. In a way I'm glad he never witnessed what befell this country after 9/11/01 It would have broken his heart.

He wore Old Spice. So I like the smell. But it stirs nostalgia, not romance.

75. Well, actually, my experience says that men who use Old Spice never dab! They pour it into their
hands, smack their cheeks with it, rub some on their hair and, if there's any left over,
rub it on their chests. But, "dab"? I don't think so. They need to make sure it's all gone
by Christmas, when God knows how many people are going to give it to him, again.

77. Oh well that's bad with pretty much any scent...
I've had the same bottle for I think 2 years now.

55. Love it. Reminds me of a dear friend who is no longer with us.

73. Well, apparently Old Spice is good for:
- bringing back memories (some good, some bad) of men who have passed on;
- marinating;
- men whose wife/partner/parents/co-workers/children have a poorly developed sense of smell; and
- men over 80 who want to spruce up and put a spring in their step whilst bandying about town in their motor car,
seeking some female companionship.

That about right?

80. Begging your pardon....
but I have a VERY, VERY, keen sense of smell (I was actually tested and scored high in the scent recognitions). Had I been gotten to earlier-I would have been one of those specialized chemists. Among the unusual smells I recognize...tornadoes (an ozone quality),sex (yes, I can smell what I know now is pheromones when I walk into a house (it doesn't have to be isolate to the bedroom) and certain infectious agents and some cancers. It is a mixed blessing because I work as a Nurse. I don't wear fragrances at work because I know some folks are hypersensitive to them (peanut butter can make me wretch when I have a migraine).

I personally like the orange citrus and spice blend of Old Spice. Hi Karate is an assault to my nose-I smell more alcohol than anything else-they use cheap ingredients. Men's colognes have greatly improved but Old Spice is the best of the early colognes. Old Spice is especially fragrant in the winter and colder month's. The other fragrances I like for men are YSL and Obsession. I confess I have not been by a counter for men in a while.

For myself I like Opium in the coldest winter, Lauren in the fall and Cool Water in the summer, Shalimar in the early spring. I have purchased some fragrances overseas that one cannot take out of the country (don't ask)and have shamelessly indulged myself with them. I was in heaven when I went to the sandalwood capital of the world Mysore, India.

I once watched a lady go about the floor of a library in a random manner. I thought she might be lost. When she finally stopped at my table and sheepishly ask what I was wearing. Said she had been tracking down the source of that wonderful smell (it was Lauren at the time). I laughed and told her I did that all the time, and understood. If I ask someone what they are wearing and I keep getting the same name-I buy it.

So don't prejudge those of us that enjoy Old Spice.

83. My nose...
knows what it likes....Splash on a little OS and there's no telling what will happen. Put a little bay rum on and really keep them guessing.

I am glad I work with elementary school kids-they haven't discovered cologne yet. In middle school they marinate in it (combined with the musky smell of puberty-she shudders visibly). By high school, things tone down a bit.

56. Only aftershave I use
It's funny how many dates I went on where the girl caught a wiff of the scent and when I told her it was Old Spice I always got "oh my dad uses that".

82. It reminds me of my late grandfather.
He always wore Old Spice. I'll always love the smell for that very reason.

90. Chris Matthews does...
Isn't that what he imagines his latest man-crush Fred Thompson to smell like?
