My Grandfather pondered this a bit. When he was a kid, they used to have to walk out to the outhouse in the snow using a sears roebuck calender to wipe his butt. Then he went overseas and was in Belgium during the bulge and the snow was so thick that his tent became a snow cave. He used to venture out his snow cave and take a shit in 2" foot of snow, without toilet paper. So my Grandfather is very Thankful for his indoor bathroom.
