3. Saw him in concert in '82--great show!

It was at an old theater that wasn't used to holding concerts. We were in the fourth row. He did his best to whip up the crowd (didn't take much--we all LOOOOVED the guy) but every time we stood up to dance, the ushers would swoop in: "SIT DOWN!!!" AA was boggled, watching the crowd essentially do "the wave" without the arm movements--we were all up...we were all down. We were all up...we were all down.

Once he figure out what was going on, he got into a battle with the ushers by calling for us to stand up right after they made us sit down. Over and over till they gave up. By the fifth song we were standing on the ARMS of the chairs. The ushers must've been having heart attacks in the back of the auditorium.

Damn, that was a great show.
