Weekend Restaurant Review - Kuma's Corner
I've been going to Kuma's for over a year. It is a bar/restaurant (bar mostly) with just about the best bar food I ever had. It is a heavy metal bar that features hamburgers, and each hamburger is named after a heavy metal band.

So my favorite 2.66 girls and I went there for lunch. The girls wanted fried calamari. I don't like calamari all that much and definitely don't like it friend. I lost. I have to say it was very light, not over battered or over cooked. It is served with a tarter-sauce like thingy and baby greens. I like it, and I don't even like calamari.

The burgers are very large so we split two. The first was the Kaijo Burger. 1/2 lb of beef, bacon, blue cheese tiny onion ring type things called frizzled onions. Amazing - about the best burger I ever had. This is my usual order.

Other burger was not a burger at all. It was the Slayer, a pile of fries topped with a 1/2 lb patty, Jack cheese, jalapenos, chile, and, as they say, anger. Decedent and lovely.

They also have lots of fancy beers if you are into that sort of thing. I love beer but fancy beer is lost on me.

So, Chicagoans, you have no excuse not to go. Also, this is a must visit when visiting.

$10 for a burger? Hell yes, when they are that good.
