Police: Man Burned When Van Explodes

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. -- A man planning to destroy his van with a propane tank suffered minor burns to his hands and face when the tank exploded, police said.

Police said the Sheboygan man was initially evasive with investigators, but he eventually confirmed that he was transporting a propane tank and gas can because he was planning to set the van on fire in his garage.

The man said that as he was driving about 12:30 p.m., he heard something fall in the van and pulled over to investigate. He opened a rear door and the van exploded.

I don't think it happened in Sheboygan, but you never know...
