People who do not return emails are incredibly rude.

If you called someone, and the person on the other end didn't bother saying anything through the handset, would you not consider that rude?

If you wrote someone a regular letter, requesting correspondence, and the person never bothers to write you back, would not consider that rude?

I respond to very little email that is of the general announcement variety. I only speak if I have something to say that is relevant and I feel strongly about.
