The Epidural Thread - some of us needed the pain relief for delivery!

When I was having babies, there was no such thing as epidurals!

I had caudal anesthesia with my first...

And some locals with my second...

My daughter also had an epidural! She swears by them!

3. I got there kinda late

Not enough time for an epidural. I just grit my teeth and had the damned baby.

4. I've had a failed epidural. What a lotta fun!

Right before they were going to rip out my ovaries and uterus....they tried for 45 minutes to get a good epidural. They couldn't place the needle correctly so I ended up going under general.


6 of one thing, half dozen of the other. It all hurts. Really hurts.

Unfortunately, the epi wore off as I was recieving many, many stitches...guess where.

7. If I ever have a kid, I'm getting one and I'm going to MAKE them keep it up for me.

All the way through, goddamnit. I want to feel nothing pushing or I'm not doing it. And if anyone fucks it up, they WILL be speaking to my attorney(s).

8. My Grandmother ended up in the ER

After her last Epidural injection. She was in so much pain. My Grandfather had a similar experience after his injection because he had a bad reaction too! Needless to say, they don't go in for their injections anymore, they just depend on their old buddy, percocet to get them through the day.
