He has three sisters and they each had dresses that they wanted her to wear. It was unreal choosing. All three of them picked gorgeous dresses.

She's applying to colleges and she's beside herself worrying whether or not she'll get in anywhere.

it better - My mom told me she knew I was going to get into the schools I applied to, but preferred to keep her mouth shut and let me stress - she thought it would toughen me up a little since I was going to college at 16 and that was stressing HER out.

more or less excruciating. I still went, and I still tried to have a good time.

Of course, not being able to ask any of the guys to dance probably had a lot to do with my frustrations. :P

She got into college today, so she is really happy about that. Not her first choice, but hey, the others haven't responded yet.

So far, she's making really smart choices. I am very lucky because her sensibility has nothing to do with anything that we did. It's just who she is.

I don't know how kids deal with the whole college app. thing now and all the visits. It's so much more complicated than it used to be. I did mostly all of that stuff myself and my parents basically had nothing to do with it.

36. I had to fill out a ton of stuff on the applications.

I don't recall my parents doing that at all, but maybe it's just my fading memory.

I had to fill out all the stuff for in-state tuition rates, payment plans, etc. It was actually a lot and a hugh PITA.
