1. Good! You know, I had to explain who the Marx Bros. were
to some 20-somethings not that long ago!

3. He told me he wants a dvd of it now...
He's been taking piano lessons for a year now; and Chico's playing blew his mind. :D

You're a good mom! After all, tomorrow's not a school day, and he needs to see this stuff!

I hope he enjoyed it...

4. He loved it!
Even though his initial reaction to B&W movies is negative. I told him he had a choice; he could eat more kale or watch the movie.

19. I watched the Marx Brothers with my kids, too.
My youngest daughter loved them so much that she went as Harpo for Halloween one year. I can't remember exactly, but I think it was when she was 9.

None of the kids her age understood her costume. She didn't care. People often think she is weird, and she just ignores them.

As others have said, you restore my faith in humanity.

I hope you'll show him Duck Soup, too, which ought to go over well.

21. Love it, but I rate Duck Soup a shade better.
"Will you marry me? Did you husband leave you any money? Answer the second question first!"

And the mirror scene is one of the great comedy bits ever.

22. I always thought Duck Soup was overrated...
...maybe because it ends so abruptly -- there's no payoff like the destruction of the Met in ...Opera.

25. They're all great...
As the commentator on TCM pointed out, these men had people laughing during the Great Depression...no small feat. We are indebted to them. :-)
