2. Had one of those the other day...

Saw a very nice young lady in another department get fired for having the chutzpah to question why her co-worker with seniority and a fancy title gets to strut into work an hour late and proceed to shop on the internets all day while she handles all her paperwork and meetings for her.

Then my own boss thought he was going to be deep-sixed by the visiting corporate asshats and we were in a panic that some puppet would be installed in his place. Thankfully, he got off the hook as they were just coming to deliver the new "standards" we now have to follow.
