I brought in cookies today.
I decided, on a whim, to buy some fresh baked cookies from a specialty bakery near here.

I work at a very large multinational corporation, and we have a team of operators who field calls internally just to help employees get in touch with other employees. They also direct outside calls to all our various offices and subsidiaries. They have a damned boring, repetative, and never-ending job.

They're very incredibly nice, underpaid people. We share a group appreciation of chocolate and baked goods. Periodically I buy, and we eat. :9

So, now we are all going through incredible sugar highs! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

And the cookies are all gone! :(

3. I'm debating whether or not to follow it up with caffein.
:9

I can't get through the week without bringing in an occassional treat, and what's the point of bringing in something you can't share?

I work on the same floor the IT Help Desk, the Mailroom, and the Operators. Three groups of very awesome people who make peanuts and put up with a lot of stupid people. I sort of rotate through them, sharing with one group at a time.

Now that I can't physicall carry anything more than a small folder, the mailroom guys do me a lot of favors. They haul files and stacks of documents for me whenever I'm going anywhere. I owe them pizza sometime soon.

6. Most people think I'm a nice co-worker.
The guy behind me with the really bad case of testosterone poisoning is probably the only one who'd disagree. :P

8. It is entirely self-serving.
Because of my bad back I can't sit for long. I get up every 15 minutes or so and walk laps around the floor to stretch out. I'm constantly pocking my head in to say hi.

If I buy cookies for them then I have a good excuse to stop by and be social, and I get to eat some. :)

One of the Operators goes outside to smoke with with a group of friends, which includes 2 people from AP. They want to know when I'm bringing them cookies!
