This would have caused me many sleepless nights if I didn't have somewhat of a translation. It seems a little less insidious now that I understand it a bit more. I'm imagining that the cat hung himself out of the pure shame caused by not taking Kikkoman's advice. But could one really expect Kikkoman to suggest any other condiment than soy sauce? Particularly of the Kikkoman variety?
